The purpose of the Mental Health Summit is to enhance the mental health and well-being of Veterans and their family members through increased collaboration between the VA and the community. Our goal is to engage in active dialogue on how we as a community can address the mental healthcare needs of Veterans and their families.
We recognize your organization’s commitment to improving mental health care within our community. We are excited to share innovations and strategies as partners. We recognize the importance of family members in developing a comprehensive plan of care. Providing care and support to family members is equally important to each Veteran’s comprehensive plan of care.
The topics/objectives of this year’s discussion at the MH Summits will be focused on access, suicide prevention, changing use of opioids in pain management, and the end of homelessness. We are dedicated to providing information and skill-building with an emphasis on recovery. We are dedicated in assisting each Veteran and his family to develop the best quality of life possible.
In the spirit of making this a true community forum, feel free to share this information with other professionals, community volunteers , and Veterans. We hope to include all those whom would be interested in this information or are involved with Veterans and their families.
