Health Professions: Meet-Try-Apply Event To Be Held at Raleigh Co Campus – Learn About New River CTC Medical Lab Tech Program
New River Community and Technical College is accepting applications for fall for the Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technician program offered at the Raleigh County Campus, Beaver. Medical laboratory technicians perform phlebotomy and analyze tissues, blood and body fluids to help physicians diagnose and treat diseases or monitor a patient’s health. New River CTC’s MLT program prepares graduates for technician-level positions in clinical laboratory environments in hospitals, physician’s offices, commercial laboratories, biotechnology, research laboratories, pharmaceutical companies and veterinary laboratories.
Community members interested in learning more about the program can experience the role of medical laboratory technicians in a health care setting and meet students and faculty during the college’s Health Professions: Meet-Try-Apply event on the Raleigh County Campus, 280 University Drive, Beaver, Tuesday, April 25 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
