United Methodist Temple – The Place
201 Templeview Drive, Beckley WV

FREE Admission

Rev. Dr. Gary Nelson will be at United Methodist Temple (The Place) on Sunday evening January 21, 2018 at 6pm to make a presentation on the topic of teenage depression.

This is a free event and open to all teenagers and the people who love them – parents, youth workers, teachers, etc. You are encouraged to participate and bring as many people with you as you can to learn more about this very important and serious issue.

It may come as a surprise for some to hear that depression is one of the top killers of teens in our country today. Dr. Nelson is a pastoral counselor and pastor with over 39 years of experience working with teens and their families. His own son suffered through terrible depression and anxiety as a teen. Dr. Nelson used his son’s story as a guide to talk about teen depression in his book, “A Relentless Hope: Surviving the Storm of Teen Depression”

In his seminars and other speaking engagements Dr. Nelson dialogues with participants about teen depression – what it looks like on the outside and inside, help for those teens suffering from depression, and help for those walking the journey with the teens.
